Perdido Middle School’s Beta Club, under the guidance of Mrs. Mary Grabill, recently went Christmas shopping for a local family who needed a little help making Christmas special this year. The students organize several fundraisers each year such as Turkey Grams and Valentine Grams, and they run the drink stand for both the Fall Festival and Christmas in Perdido.
Helping bring Christmas cheer to others is the Beta Club’s main service learning project for the school year. Each Beta Club member is required to do two hours of volunteer work at the school, reinforcing the Service to Learning concept.
Beta Club officers are:
President – Natalee Presley; Vice President – Presley Dortch; Secretary – Chance Bryars; Treasurer – Laney Young.
