In April 2017, The Atmore Community Foundation, an Affiliate of The Community Foundation of South Alabama, was founded to serve as a vehicle to receive donations and bequests to benefit the Atmore community. Outreach at Gaines Chapel
Several Gaines Chapel AME Church members opened the kitchen and their hearts Saturday, December 9, as they provided lunch for all who would come. For the homebound, meals were delivered.
