Perdido MS honored at awards luncheon
Several middle school students from Perdido School were recently honored at the annual Alabama Council on Economic Education Awards Luncheon. Perdido E/M School students compete in state tech fair
Students from Perdido Elementary / Middle School attended the Alabama State Technology Fair held at AUM campus the end of April. Those students who placed first or second in the regional fair were eligible to compete. Traveling to Montgomery were: Fourth-graders Sidra Brown, Hope Bates, Emma Hadley, Brandon Smith, Payton Wasdin, Payge Gibson and Alex Cooper. Healthy Kids Day draws small but enthusiastic crowd
Only half the number of youngsters who attended last year’s Healthy Kids Day observance at Atmore Area YMCA was on hand this year, but those who did show up seemed to have twice the fun. “We’ve been having fun all morning, really enjoying ourselves,” said Sonya Hollinger, who chaperoned young Jayden Sims, barely big enough to sit in a chair by himself.
