A portion of a McRae Street home suffered moderate damage February 18, when a lawn mower inexplicably burst into flames that swept threatened the home’s patio and spread into its attic. Two Brewton men, both registered sex offenders who committed crimes against children, were arrested separately this week by county sheriff’s officers for violating the Sex Offenders Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).
