GECA reservations available now

News Staff Report

The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts’ production of “Young Frankenstein” opens this week for an eight-performance run.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating is limited to 60 seats per show. By special arrangement, GECA will have shows on Thursday, June 18, Friday, June 19, Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, as well as June 25-28.  The show will run for two weekends. Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows will begin at 7 p.m., and Sunday shows will begin at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and may be reserved by calling Atmore News at 368-NEWS (6397). Due to covid-19 restrictions, all ticket reservations must be made by phone. No foot traffic is allowed in the Atmore News office.

Thanks to the United Bank, anyone 17 and under will be admitted free, but you must reserve your seat ahead of time by calling Atmore News. Due to the limited seating, there will only be 30 complimentary seats available for each show. When you call for reservations, please indicate how many adults and how many youths 17 or under are attending.

“Because we value your safety and the safety of our cast and crew, all audience members must have their temperature taken upon entering the theatre,” GECA board president Sharon Poulsen said. “Social distancing will be observed, including no cast interactions with the audience during and after the show.

“GECA has been ‘dark’ for far too long. We miss you and hope to see you soon.”

You may pay for your tickets at the box office with cash, check or credit card.
