Cars began lining up outside Rachel Patterson Elementary School around 6:30 a.m. last Saturday, May 30, as drivers waited to receive boxes of free groceries. Estimates are that more than 600 cars pulled through the school driveway for a share of the 17,000 pounds of food distributed through a donation to Feeding the Gulf Coast.
