Alfa, Farmers Federation recognize contest winners
Each year, in an effort to make students aware of the importance of agriculture, the Escambia County Farmers Federation and Alfa Insurance sponsor the Farm-City Poster Contest. This year, two students at A.C. Moore Elementary placed in the contest. Students winning first place received $200. Students winning second place received $100. Christmas Around the World scavenger hunt
Dr. Stephanie Hulon, Perdido Elementary School’s IT schoolwide advisor, planned a great QR code scavenger hunt for Christmas Around the World for third-graders. Students used their chrome books and hunted the codes. Each student had a paper passport and went to different QR codes in the hallways to find out information about different countries and how their celebration of the holidays compared to ours.
