Mosley graduates from JSU
Leslie M. Mosley of Atmore graduated from Jacksonville State University on April 28. Mosley received a BSN in Nursing. JSU President John M. Beehler presented 700 graduates their degrees during three ceremonies, accompanied by Provost Rebecca O. Turner and Vice Provost Joe Walsh. Jacksonville State University is located in the Appalachian foothills midway between Birmingham and Atlanta.

New sales tax voted in – Expected to put $2.7M per year into county coffers
Escambia County taxpayers have had more than two months to prepare themselves for implementation of a countywide sales tax that will hopefully help stop the county’s financial bleeding.
