Postal rates going up
The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) has approved the price changes that United States Postal Service proposed in October. The changes will raise Mailing Services product prices approximately 1.9 percent, while most Shipping Services products will average a 3.9 percent price increase. Community Thanksgiving Service is Sunday
The Community Thanksgiving Service will be Sunday, November 19, at 6 p.m., at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Brennan Peacock, First United Methodist Church, will bring the message and there will be special music from several churches. New ambulance service in town
Atmore City Council members removed during their November 13 meeting the initial barrier to allowing a new ambulance service to set up shop here and begin operations inside the city and its police jurisdiction. Atmore man, juvenile arrested – Incident occurred at Bay Minette Walmart
A 19-year-old Atmore man and a 17-year-old juvenile remained in the Baldwin County Correctional Center as midweek approached, charged with breaking into a truck at the Bay Minette Walmart and hitting the truck’s owner with a car door as they tried to make their getaway.
