Special to Atmore News Escambia County Middle School students in Ms. Hybart’s and Ms. Wilson’s fifth-grade science classes created Shoebox Ecosystems recently. The students demonstrated an understanding of ecosystems. They were able to identify the plants, animals, soil, habitats, and relationships that exist in ecosystems with an emphasis on conservation and preservation of the ecosystems.
