School year wraps up at ECMS
Escambia County Middle School wrapped up the year with the eighth-grade Honors Day program on the last day of school Thursday, May 25. While numerous awards were presented, two of the top awards went to one student – Breanna McGowan. She received the Leadership Award and the Highest GPA Award. Reader Leaders at Perdido School
Eighteen students in first through sixth grade were recognized at Perdido School’s Elementary Awards Day program. These students were the top Accelerated Reader (AR) point earners for their respective grade levels, while maintaining a minimum 85 percent overall comprehension rate on all quizzes taken throughout the school year.
Huber, Taylor on honors list
LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama has announced the students named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2017 academic semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, students must obtain at least a 3.25 grade point average while attempting at least 12 semester hours. Students from Atmore named to the UWA Dean’s List are Christopher Huber and Jordan Taylor.
