The Greater Mount Triumph Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall was filled to capacity Saturday, February 10, for the 12th annual Rosa Parks Prayer Breakfast. Living history
Local reenactors and history fans converged on Wawbeek Saturday February 3, for the fourth annual Wawbeek Living History sponsored by Marietta Johnson, the 15th Confederate Cavalry Company C and the Sons of Confederate Veterans. ECMS needs dance, art instructors
Escambia County Middle School has a nice dance studio, as well as dozens of students who look forward to refining their dance moves. What the school doesn’t have is a qualified instructor who can help make that happen. The mirrored-wall studio does get some use, as Lisa Wells of YoGo Kids in Baldwin County, has contracted to teach yoga classes, and about 30 students have taken advantage of that opportunity.…
PCI Community Scholarship open for applications
Established in 2015, the Poarch Creek Indian Community Scholarship fund through The Community Foundation of South Alabama awards a minimum of one scholarship annually to a male and one scholarship annually to a female residing in Alabama or the panhandle of Florida.
