Patricia Ann Walker
Mrs. Patricia Ann Walker, age 76, of Duncan, Okla., passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 in the Country Club Care Nursing and Rehab, Duncan. She was born in Montgomery, Ala. to the late James Henry and Helen Bernice (Duncan) Moore. She enjoyed watching crime shows on TV, and mostly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Western Heights Baptist Church, Duncan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her son, Greg Walker and his wife Leigh of Daphne, Ala.; daughter, Melissa Channel and her husband Doug of Duncan; grandchildren, Harper, Emory and Murray Walker, Jena Claire and Connor Channel, all Daphne and her sister, Wanda Sealey of California.

Betty J. Walker
Mrs. Betty J. Walker, age 69, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Fairhope, Ala. She was a seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills. She was born to Edwin F. and Nioma Taylor Terry in Atmore. She was a member of Atmore Baptist Temple.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin F. Terry; step-father, J. B. Stewart and a sister, Lillian Conway.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband, Billy Walker; her mother, Nioma Stewart; two sons, Denny Garvin and Bill (Casey) Walker, all of Atmore; two brothers, Bobby Hommel of Oregon, Michael Hommel of Wisconsin; four sisters, Martha Colbert of Uriah, Ala., Karen (Eugene) Rackard of Chipley, Fla., Melanie (Chris) Rolin and Dell Harrison, both of Atmore; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at noon from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doug Odom officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Cody Garvin, Frankie Fails, Freddie Fails, Jamie Black, Jonathan Rackard, Noah Lee, Ben Lee and Bubba Rolin.
The family received friends Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 11 a.m. until service time at noon at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Mr. John Edward Brown, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Atmore, Ala., will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center with Overseer Darryl North, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Shiloh Cemetery in Nokomis, Ala.

Joyce Conway Neal
Mrs. Joyce Conway Neal, age 76, of Excel, Ala., passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at Jay, Fla. She born in Escambia County, Ala. to the late Bedie and Annie Bell Singleton Conway She worked as a seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills. She enjoyed quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and five sisters.
Mrs. Neal is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Howard Neal of Excel; four sons, Michael (Ginger) Flowers of Creola, Ala., Mark (Stephania) Flowers of Robertsdale, Ala., Scott (Susan) Neal of Monroeville, Ala. and Mark (Kim) Neal of Excel; one daughter, Janet (Marion) McGhee of Poarch, Ala.; two brothers,
Winston (Helen) Conway and Ray Conway, all of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Kathryn (Ralph) Drew of Atmore, Ala.; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 11a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Andy Boutwell and Bro. D.L. Harville officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were, Tyler Flowers, Cameron Flowers, Reese Ameltte, Treygan McGhee, Chase Bishop and Eddie Woods.

Mr. Aquilla Bradford, 67, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

David Melvin Walker
David Melvin Walker, age 77, of Duncan, Okla., passed awa Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Duncan Country Club Care and Rehab. He was born in Birmingham, Ala. to the late Eugene and Mary Alma (Garner) Walker. He loved to cook BBQ and loved fishing. Worked as a flight scheduler for TricUnited Airlines at LAX and later became a collector and a manager with Spiller furniture in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church, Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Catherine W. Baker and her husband Leo Baker and wife, Patricia.
Mr. Walker is survived by his son, Greg Walker and his wife Leigh of Daphne, Ala.; daughter, Melissa Channel and her husband Doug of Duncan; grandchildren, Harper, Emory and Murray Walker, Jena Claire and Connor Channel, all Daphne.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Western Heights Baptist Church.

Daisy McGhee Long
Mrs. Daisy McGhee Long, age 86, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Molino, Fla. She was a native of Huxford, Ala., former resident of Pensacola, Fla. and has resided in Molino for the past 10 ½ years. She was a past employee of Florida National Bank, Accounting Supervisor with Northwest Florida Blood Bank and retired accounting supervisor with the Pensacola Naval Hospital. She was a member of Central Chapel Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James W. “J.W.” Long and Louis Ray Sims and a son, Dale Sims.
Mrs. Long is survived by one son, Winfred (Charlotte) Sims of Molino; one daughter, Patsy F. (Robert) Carter of Panama City, Fla.; two step-sons, Wayne (Caroline) Long of Christian Home, Fla. and James R. “Ronnie” Long of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, James A. McGhee of Seminole, Ala.; two sisters, Eunice Pierce of Beulah, Fla. and Eloise Stewart of Rabun, Ala.; thirteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Mrs. Eloise Stewart officiating. Burial will followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
