Webster will seek third term as District 2 representative

Webster

Note: The following announcement was submitted by the candidate.

Dear friends and neighbors of District 2,
I am Jerome Webster Sr., also known to many as “Coach Webster.” I am honored to announce my candidacy for re-election to the Atmore City Council, representing District 2.
My commitment to Atmore spans over three decades, beginning with my move here in 1992. Throughout this time, I have dedicated myself to improving our city as a public servant and a mentor to our youth.
My summer basketball program for the youth is a staple in the community. Also, this season, our Escambia Academy boys basketball team secured the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) Class A state championship. This achievement was recognized by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as they named me AISA Coach of the Year.
As I seek my third term, my focus remains steadfast on enhancing the quality of life for all residents of District 2, and the city of Atmore. I am committed to working with our next administration on promoting economic development, improving infrastructure and fostering a safe and inclusive environment for our community.
I will also work closely with our public safety department and encourage frequent community meetings to address issues concerning our residents. Our city has significantly changed since I joined the council in 2016. New businesses are opening their doors, creating jobs in our community. Let’s keep that momentum going.
I humbly request your continued support and vote in the upcoming election. We can build upon our accomplishments and strive for an even brighter future.
Sincerely,
Jerome “Coach” Webster Sr., councilman, District 2, Atmore City Council
(My wife, Yvette, and I have been married for 33 years and have four children and three grandchildren.)
