Ms. Dorothy Betts, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, May 22, 2023 at her home.

Jody Douglas Findley
Mr. Jody Douglas Findley, age 42, of Century, Fla., passed away Friday, May 26, 2023. He was born in Franklin, La. to John Douglas and Linda Mae Findley. Later in life moved to Patterson, La. before moving on to Century. He was employed with Maverick Gas Plant for many years. He was an enjoyable, likeable, people person, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid sportsman especially fishing and hunting and a Florida Gators Fan. He was the co-founder of “By the Big Lip Catfishing Club.”
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Dawn Gafford.
Mr. Findley is survived by his two sons, Jacob Findley and Brysen Findley, both of Century; mother of sons, Heather Jernigan Findley of Brewton, Ala.; one sister, Wendy (Keith) Lisenby of Brewton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC. with Rev. Ted Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Crary Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Gafford, Brysen Findley, Jacob Findley, Chance Schoonover, Jamie Gafford, Jr., Hunter Gafford and Jackie Wayne Carnley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Blackwell, Mark Carter, Clint Lowery, and Adam Dellacroce.

Jacquelyn Darlene Clemmons Killam
Ms. Jacquelyn Darlene Clemmons Killam, age 64, of Stockton, Ala. (Boatyard), passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 in Canoe, Ala. She was born in Atmore, Ala. to Jack E. Clemmons and Willodean Rowell Clemmons. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family especially around a backyard fire. She loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack E. Clemmons; one son, Charles Mathieu Mitchell and her step-father, Charles Davis.
Ms. Killam is survived by her mother, Willodean Rowell Davis of Atmore; one sister, Pam Christensen (Pete) of Cantonment, Fla.; two brothers, Donald D. Clemmons and Jack Elliott Clemmons Jr., both of Atmore; one daughter, Sondra Glass McKinley (Kevin) of Canoe; one son, Joseph Mitchell of Cantonment, Fla. and eight grandchildren, Autumn (Josh) Day, Abbygail Reed, Jackson Reed, Mathieu Mitchell, Kamryn Mitchell, Joey Mitchell, Charlie Mitchell and Thomas Mitchell; her adored fur baby, Newly, considered as one of her children; a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and her Boatyard family.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Ladetrick Ronshae, age 38, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023. He was born in Atmore to Darnell Staples and Douglas Cooper. He was a proud graduate of Escambia County High School. We was employed with Alto Cooperation as a supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Izola Staples and grandfathers, Clint Staples and Charles Taylor.
Mr. Staples is survived by his wife, Ashleigh Tiara Staples; mother, Darnell Staples; father, Douglas (Lillian) Cooper; three children, Ladetriana, LaNiyah and Kalega Staples; one God-daughter, Baeleigh Staples; siblings, Latasha Staples, Clint (Stephanie) Staples, Olivia Cooper Davis, Demarcus Davis Douglas, Kristain Cooper and Dallas Cooper; bonus siblings, Billy (Latoya) Staples and Kendrick (Nikki) Henderson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marci Beckham and Anthony Beckham; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dominique (Wesley) Jefferson, Anthony Beckham, Jr., Anthony (Yohanka) Johnson and LeAnthony Johnson; grandmother, Lucille Taylor and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. with Bishop Tommy Thomas, Officiating Pastor, New Beginnings Holiness Church. Interment followed at Stallworth Cemetery.

Rickey Jerome Hall
Mr. Rickey Jerome Hall, age 69, of Evergreen, Ala., passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023. He was born in Evergreen to the late Edrith (Hall) Hammond. He was a 1972 graduate of Evergreen High School. He served in the .S. Navy Corps as an Engine room Mechanic on the USS Noa and
Was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church serving as a Sunday school teacher, Trustee, Choir, Van Driver, Youth Mentor and affiliated with the Baptist Association. He was a Certified A/C Technologist, Licensed Electrician and an A-l Mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Goldsmith.
Mr. Hall is survived his wife, Anntiss Lett; son, Myckale Knight of Mobile, Ala.; grandchildren, Kendall and Kalei Knight, both of Mobile; sisters, Rita Hall of Evergreen, Rosaline Goldsmith of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, John (Sophia) Hammond and Russell (Teresa) Hammond, both of Evergreen, Bobbie (Deborah) Hammond of Blountstown, Fla.,Angelo Goldsmith and Leonard Goldsmith, both of Cleveland; step-sons, Jerald Henry, Richard Henry and Justine Henry, all of Atmore; host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Evergreen, with Dr. John H. Williams, Mr., officiating. Interment followed at Jordan Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers and flower bearers were his family and friends.

Deborah Elaine Hammons
Mrs. Deborah Elaine Hammons, age 68, of Midland City, Ala., passed away peacefully Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Dothan, Ala. She attended Faulkner State Community College. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore for many years before moving to First Baptist Church of Dothan in retirement where she grew in her faith and found solace in the community. Her faith remained a driving force throughout her life, guiding her actions and decisions, and inspiring those around her. She was a financial analyst for Poarch Band of Creek Indians for many years. She had a deep appreciation for nature and found joy in watching hummingbirds dance around her garden. She looked forward to spending time with her family in the mountains.
Mrs. Hammons is survived by her husband, Leo I Hammons, III; daughter, Jessica (Greg) Outlaw; grandchildren, Leianna and Dillon Outlaw; brother, Lamar Holmes and a host of extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Monday, June 5, 2023 at 2 p.m.at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Taylor Rutland officiating.
The family received friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
