Two men were arrested here last week after separate incidents involving sexual contact with a minor.
Erick Dailey, 51, was arrested shortly after midnight November 24 when police were sent to a Swift Street address in response to a reported sexual assault against a child younger than 13 years old.
An adult member of the victim’s family told officers he had forced Dailey out of the residence. Police located and detained Dailey, who is charged with one count each of second-degree sodomy and enticing a child for immoral purposes.
Two days later, on November 26, officers were sent around 6:45 p.m. to a residence on Cool Creek Lane after receiving reports of the sexual assault of a child younger than 16 years old.
Police arrived on the scene and contacted an adult member of the victim’s family, who was preventing the suspect — 64-year-old Vinson McReynolds of Bay Minette — from leaving the scene.
McReynolds is charged with one count of second-degree sodomy.
Dailey and McReynolds were each booked into the Escambia County Detention Center, where each remained Monday afternoon, November 28.
