Diane Linda Lilley

Lilley

Mrs. Diane Linda Lilley, age 65, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 in Mobile, Ala. She was a native of Frisco City, Ala. and had resided in Goodway, Ala. for the past forty-five years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Mary Lou and James Dannelley; father, Farrell Bowen; son, Donnie Ray Lilley; brother, Donnie Farrell Bowen and niece, Kimberly Wall Lofton.
Mrs. Lilley is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Raymond L. Lilley of Goodway; one son, Rusty (Shawn) Lilley of Rocky Hill, Ala.; three brothers, Wayne (Maxine) Bowen of Bay Minette, Ala., Terry Michael (Freddie) Bowen of Megargel, Ala. and Carl (Susan) Bowen of Atmore, Ala.; one sister, Rosemary Wall of Atmore; three grandchildren, Logen (Hanna) Lilley, Madison Lilley and Breanna Lilley and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Enon Baptist Church with Bro. Pete Dunn officiating. Burial followed at Enon Baptist Cemetery.
The family did receive friends Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. at Enon Baptist Church.

Destry Boutwell

Boutwell

Mr. Destry Boutwell, age 56, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at his home in Lottie, Ala.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Lottie. He attended Fretwell Tabernacle Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Floyd and Katherine Boutwell; two brothers, June Bug Boutwell and Robert Boutwell.

Mr. Boutwell is survived by one son, Destry Robert “Little Man” Boutwell; two brothers, Jessie (Debbie) Boutwell of Flomaton, Ala. and Rodney (Rhonda) Boutwell of Perdido, Ala.; two sisters, Jane Dorriety of Lottie and Bernice (Lamar) Hadley of Perdido; seventeen nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were  held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.

The family received friends Friday, June 19, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Joe Boutwell, J.J. Boutwell, Jacob Boutwell, Bo Hobbs, Chez Mercer and Anthony Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers were Robbie Turberville and Ryder Ira Boutwell.

Charles Edward “Eddie” Gideons, Jr.

Gideons

Mr. Charles Edward “Eddie” Gideons, Jr., age 56, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020. He was born in Atmore. He worked for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Atmore from 1995 until 2004 when he then began what, at that time, was his dream job, working in the woods as a forestry technician along-side his mentor, Big Hoop Matthews, until his death in 2006. In 2003, He then began his life passion, flying. He was mentored by J.W. Wallace of Wallace Flying, Inc.

Eddie was an avid turkey and deer hunter and fisherman and cherished all his time with his extended outdoor family. And watched a many of sunrise’s with them. His dedication to outdoors inspired others to achieve the knowledge he obtained. Family, friends, farmers, hunters and pilots alike always wanted to be around him. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Gideons, Sr.; maternal grandparents T. Onree and B. Marie Owens; paternal grandparents, Shelby C. and Lydia Gideons.

Mr. Gideons is survived by his wife, Tammy Smith of Atmore; mother, Marilyn Owens Gideons-Davidson of Atmore; children, Charles Edward “Bo” Gideons, III. of Waterford, Texas, Levi Trest Gideons of Auburn, Ala., Heath Smith of Milton, Fla., Tanner Gideons of Atmore, Holly (Ervin) St. Germain of Pensacola, Fla. and Ande Marie (Ricky) Smith of Spanish Fort, Ala.; three siblings, Bub Gideons and Ondrea Marie Gideons Williamson, both of Atmore and Monica (Jeff) Gideons Sharp of Carrollton, Ga. and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 10 a.m. at McCullough Christian Center with family friends, Hooper Matthews, Blaine Chastang and Bro. Wayne Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Grove, Fla.
Active pallbearers will be Mark Mack, Shawn Linam, Doug Kaiser, Steven Brantley, Jeff  Parker, Mac McMillian, Joe Barber and Dan Symms.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Coker, Aubrey Peacock, Clyde Helton, Thomas Qualls, Ray Singleton, David Smith, Thomas Miller, Jimmy Crook and Billy Rolin.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 22, 2020 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McCullough Christian Center.

Due to the current health care crisis it is not required of you to wear a facial mask but is asked if you feel that it is necessary,  it will be acceptable for the safety of you and others.

Mr. James Ewing of Brewton, Ala., passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at Sacred heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

Teresa Young of Evergreen, Ala., passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her home.

Cenny R. James McWhorter

Cenny R. James McWhorter of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

John “John Lee” Arthur Lee

Mr. John “John Lee” Arthur Lee, age 62, of Clearwater, Fla., passed away, Sunday, June 7, 2020. He was born in Atmore, Ala. to L.C. and Dorothy Mae Lee. He moved to Clearwater after high school at began his career in construction working with his brother-in-law, owner of James Ford Construction.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Robert Earl Lee.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of forty-years, Mattie Jones; mother, Dorothy Mae Lee; two children, Antwon (Tasha) Rollins of Atmore and Paris “Keisha” Lee of Clearwater; five grandchildren; four brothers, Clarence Bullard Lee of Wilmington, De., Louis C. Lee of Hackensack, N.J., James (Jackie) Lee and Willie (Shannon) Lee, all of Atmore; four sisters, Mary Lee of Clearwater, Loretta (Michael) Gray of Arlington, Texas, Christine (Roy) Lee and Juanita Lee, all of Atmore; devoted brother-in-law, James Ford of Clearwater; aunts, Dr. Odessa Lee Jones, Dorothy McMillian, Lula (Elder Ler07) Knight, Sr., Novella Lee Johnson, all of Atmore and Bertha Walden of Clearwater; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel’s Faith Center with Bishop Wayne Johnson, Pastor and Eulogist officiating. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers and flower bearers were his family and friends.
