Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce officials, along with officials of several local business and industrial concerns, a state representative and a county commissioner unveiled Tuesday, December 17, the latest effort at local marketing and workforce development.
The event, held at ECHS’s Hodnette Auditorium, was to display the first four of 17 steel trains that will eventually be displayed throughout the Atmore area, similar to the Pelicans in Paradise initiative in Pensacola.
The trains were designed by an eight-man team of ECHS students, from left, Joey Ramer, Hayden Weaver, Fredrick Rudolph, Elijah Mallory, Xavier Finney, Aaron Calva, Steven Schubering, Antonio Schubering.

More details on the trains and the unveiling ceremony will appear in next week’s Atmore News.
