Donna Berry Hadley
Ms. Donna Berry Hadley, age 71, of Bratt, Fla., passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at her home. She was born to the late Casey and LouAda Henderson Berry. She was a retired seamstress from Vanity Fair with over thirty-five years of service. A loving mother, hard worker, enjoyed helping others and had a big heart.
She was preceded by her parents and soulmate, Douglas Hadley.
Ms. Hadley is survived by her three children, Tony (Teresa) Hadley of Canoe, Ala., Nicky Hadley (Valerie McGhee) of Poarch, Ala. and Jolene Elliott (Brian Joiner) of Walnut Hill, Fla.; one brother, Ronnie (Brenda) Berry of Bratt; two sisters, Ronell (David) Garrett of Walnut Hill, and Rita Sanders of Bratt; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Gipson officiating.

William Walter Wells
Mr. William Walter Wells, age 62, passed away Monday, December 9, 2019 in Mobile, Ala. He was a native of Bay Minette, Ala., a former resident of Andalusia, Ala. and had resided in the Baldwin County, Ala. area for the past forty-one years. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator with over forty years of service. He loved southern gospel and bluegrass music; was a practical joker and loved his family especially, his grandchildren and his dogs, Bourbon and Harley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Katie Lou Wells and sister, Bettie Hall.
Mr. Wells is survived by wife of forty-one years, Margie Hadley Wells of Perdido, Ala.; one daughter, Lanita (John) Pfeffer of Perdido; one sister, Jean Wells of Atmore, Ala.; two grandchildren, Tanner Pfeffer (Madison Bryars) and Tyler Presley (Taylor Gray), all of Perdido; two great-grandchildren, John Barrett Pfeffer and Angel Brittingham.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel with Rev. Wendell Hadley officiating. Burial will follow at Lottie Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Naomi Watson Wise
Mrs. Naomi Watson Wise, age 91, born in Canoe, Ala., and a resident of Bay Minette, Ala., passed away died Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at her residence. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winton E. Wise; two sons, Gary Otis Wise and Michael Watson Wise and a brother, Kenneth Watson.
Mrs. Wise is survived by two daughters, Pamela Wise (Mickey) Carney of Hattiesburg, Miss. and Jody Lynn Wise (fiancé Ken Beard) of Bay Minette; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Wise Loper, Kelly (Honey) Wise, Tara Wise (Brian) Lancaster, Ryan (K.C.) Wise, Bradley Wise Campbell, Gary Patrick Campbell and Watson McNeill Campbell; three step-grandchildren, Michael (Melissa) Carney, John Mark Carney and David (Emily) Carney; twelve great- grandchildren; one great-great grandson; daughter-in-law, Aimeé Wise of Gordo, Ala. and special friend, Peggy Wise of Bay Minette.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Chip Starnes and Dr. Michael Carney officiating. Burial will follow at Canoe Freewill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 13, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service at First Baptist Church.

Ms. Carrie Elaine Knowles, age 48, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Pensacola, Fla. She was a native of Century, Fla., former resident of Niceville, Fla. (where she spent most of her life) and has resided in Milton, Fla. for the past ten years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sherry Lynn Powell and sister, Kendall Knowles.
Ms. Knowles is survived by her father, Curtis (Angela) Knowles of Flomaton, Ala.; one son, Shawn (Brittany) Knowles of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Shanelle (Levi) Landsverk of Milton and Breana Knowles of Niceville; two brothers, Kenneth J. (Hallie) Knowles and Bradley Knowles, all of Pace, Fla.; sister by love, Amanda Johnson; six grandchildren, Grayson, Breadon, Chase, Marshall, Oliver and Calaina and aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.

Brunetta Bradford
Ms. Brunetta Bradford, 65, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Atmore Community Hospital. She was a native of Atmore. She was a 1972 graduate of Escambia County High School. She worked for many years at Vanity Fair. She was a member of Gaines Chapel AME Church. She was a loving lady who enjoyed time with her family. She also enjoyed fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aquilla Bradford; her mother, Mae Fannie Brown, and her step-father, J. S. Brown, Sr.
Ms. Bradford is survived by her sons, Ato (Lakeisha Brown) McCants of Pensacola, Fla., Calvin (Marketia) McCants of Atmore and Jeffery (Yolanda Johnson) McCants of Mobile, Ala.; one sister, Bonnie Roberts Bazemore of Atmore; three brothers, J. S. Brown, Jr. and Gregory Brown, both of Atmore and S. J. (Annie Rose) Brown of Phenix City, Ala.; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; in-laws, Gola (Min. McKinley) Dailey, Betty Stewart, James Bradford, Dorita (Bo) Purifoy; one aunt, Elnetta Jordan Thomas; three devoted friends, Ester “Ms. Boo” Jett, Alice Kyles and Tonie Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Howard “Snookie” Thompson
Mr. Howard “Snookie” Thompson, age 82, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at his home in Pine Grove, Ala. He was a native of Walnut Hill, Fla., former resident of Century, Fla. and had resided in Pine Grove, Ala. since 1976. He retired from the U.S. Navy with twenty years of service and the Alabama Department of Correction with twenty years of service. He was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Morrell Thompson; parents, Albert and Aletha Thompson; son, Phillip Howard Thompson and one brother, Otha J. Dreadin.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his two sons, Vincent M. Thompson and Robert G. (Polly) Thompson of Bay Minette, AL; two brothers, William “Bill” Dreadin of Mount Vernon, Wash. and Leon Elton Dreadin of Pensacola, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Jonathan Thompson, Amanda Poesl, Zackary Thompson, Beth Smith, Nick Thompson, Lindsey McCuller, Regan Thompson, Tyler Rollin and Sean Eager; nine great-grandchildren, Mia, Max, Dom, Aubrey and Lillian.

Ms. Anna M. Johnson, age 77, of Evergreen, Ala., passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019. She was born to the late Myrtle V. and Aubrey L. Johnson. She ewas a member of Belleville Missionary Baptist Church. She received her education at Nichburg School. She was employed at several jobs from Alabama to Las Vegas. She worked for Dr. Lamar Jackson for year after returning from her travels.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Bernice Price and brothers, Otto, George, Aubrey and Leroy Johnson.
Ms. Johnson if survived by three children, Claudette (Ricky) Williams of Monroeville, Johnette Davis and Vicky D. Lee, both of Evergreen; eight grandchildren, Kendon L. Johnson, Damon K. Taylor, Martinique L. Lee, Rickiya (Tony) Powelol, Trishanna J. Lee, Javeya (Marquise) Clark, Akeem J. Taylor and Tatyanna B. Lee; seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Erma (Robert) Davison of Toledo, Ohio and Ida Jean Straughn of Omaha, Neb.; brother, John Henry (Diane) Johnson of Evergreen and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Leroy Johnson, age 86, of Evergreen, Ala., passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Gulfport, Miss. He was born to the late Aubrey and Mrytle Johnson. He was a member of Belleville Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the military for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Anna Mrytle Johnson, Bernice Price, George Johnson, Aubrey Johnson and Otto Johnson, all of Evergreen; one son, Cedric Cleon Johnson of Montgomery, Ala.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Joyce Johnson; four daughters, Bernadette Taylor of Md., Cheryl Johnson of Va., LaQuina Katrice Johnson (Sakinah Phifer) of Mich. and Monica Johnson (Aryanna and Josiah) of Miss.; four sons, Prince Johnson of Miss, Leroy Johnson, III (Desirae Tyree) of Evergreen and Byron Johnson of Va.; two sisters, Ida Jean Straughn of Neb., Erma (Robert) Davison of Ohio; one brother, John (Dianne) Johnson of Evergreen and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
