After visiting the Coastal Alabama Community College in Atmore, the YLA [Youth Leadership Atmore] class traveled to visit the Coastal Alabama Community College campus in Bay Minette. This was an incredible experience for the students to be able to see a college in action.
The students were able to visit the admissions office and meet Diana McCullough, a college counselor. Mrs. McCullough informed the students that while attending college, they would always have the support and the availability of the staff to help students with any arising problems.
While touring the campus, the students met with a teacher, Mr. Pimperl, who is the head of the math department. Mr. Pimperl advised the students of the advantages of attending a community college and discussed the various clubs and activities that are available at Coastal Community College.
At the conclusion of the trip, the students enjoyed a relaxing lunch in the campus cafeteria.
The Youth Leadership of Atmore would like to extend gratitude to Coastal Alabama Community College for inviting them to enjoy their campus.
