Pickup destroyed
The portion of U.S. 31 between Ammons and James roads was closed for a while Saturday (September 25) after a heavy-duty pickup, hauling a trailer, caught fire shortly after 11 a.m. Perdido firefighters, shown here battling the blaze, prevented the fire from spreading to the trailer. Most of the damage to the truck appeared to be in the engine compartment and cab.
