Dogs for a cause
The Atmore Lions Club has been going through some funding issues recently, and when the Chamber of Commerce discovered the problem, they planned and set up a Conecuh sausage dog sale Friday, May 16. The sausage was donated from Conecuh Sausage and the Chamber provided buns and condiments. Lions workers cooked the sausage and managed sales. Modern Woodmen of America matched Lions sales of $1,250. The 5th annual Atmore Mental Health Awareness Walk & Resource Fair is set for this Saturday, May 17, beginning at 10 a.m. at Boxcar Willie Park and ending at Heritage Park, where information booths will be set up, support offered and fun activities available.
