John Cecil Hammond
Mr. John Cecil Hammond, age 73, of Mineola, Ala. passed away at his home on Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was born in Bay Minette, Ala.to Cecil Clyde and Nellie Lucille Payne Hammond. He was a dedicated member of McCullough Christian Center. It was his honor and privilege to serve in the Prison Ministry and Set Free. He enjoyed spending vacations with his wife at the beach, drinking coffee with friends and talking about the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Karin Elaine Hammond and nephew, Steven Daniel Hammond.
Mr. Hammond is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Willonette Hammond of Mineola; a son, Christopher Douglas Moye, of Flomaton, Ala.; his grandchildren, CJ and Blake Moye.
Memorial services will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 at 6 p.m. at McCullough Christian Center with Reverend Cornelius Phillips officiating.

Florence Euline Hardy
Mrs. Florence Euline Hardy, age 95, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 in Atmore. She was born in Atmore to the late Fletcher and Eula Higdon. While Florence was her given name, she was known to many as “Puddin”. She was a long-time member of Judson Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Atmore where she taught Sunday school to 5-year-olds for over 25 years.
She attended Montevallo College; worked as a switchboard operator at Southland Telephone Company and later was a substitute teacher at McCullough School and Poarch School. She retired from Southland Systems and Touch l Long Distance.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, sewing, country living and she was an avid couponer. She dearly loved her children and their children, family gatherings and her late husband Leslie. If you visited Puddin, you were sure to leave with a bag of goodies which might include soap, toothpaste, snacks, and best of all — maybe a mess of fresh okra. While you didn’t realize that you needed anything, she knew that these items might be helpful, and she would fill the bag to overflowing!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Hardy; her daughter, Melanie Ann Hardy; her brothers, William Higdon and Byron Higdon; her sister, Martha Nicholas.
Mrs. Hardy is survived by two sons, Joe (Renee) Hardy and Billy (Vicki) Hardy, all of Atmore; daughter, Bobbie Mack of Cantonment, Fla.; daughter-in-love, Shayne Johnson of Streetman, Texas; six grandchildren, Ben (Jamie) Hardy, Emily (Clay) Branch, Robert (Lena) Hardy, Jill (Bo) Franklin, Kelly (Tony) Benauer and Jessi (Joseph) McDonald; eleven great-grandchildren, Rylan Hardy, Brooks Branch, Caroline Branch, Livia Hardy, Lilian Hardy, Lyla Hardy, Lucy Hardy, Gerard Benauer, Isabella Benauer, Landon McDonald and Darby McDonald.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Atmore with Rev. Arnold Hendrix and Dr. Kevin Garrett officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were, Ben Hardy, Rylan Hardy, Robert Hardy, Joseph McDonald, Clay Branch, Brooks Branch, Bo Franklin, Tony Benauer and Gerard Benauer.
Honorary pallbearers were, We Are Family Senior Care Services and Yvonne Moss.
The family received friends Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. Until service time at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Atmore.

William Cleveland Lambert
Mr. William Cleveland Lambert, age 56, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025 in Mobile, Ala. He was born in Brewton, Ala. but spent most of his life in Poarch, Ala. He loved spending time with family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was watching “The Beverly Hillbillies.” He was a generous soul, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. With his vibrant personality, he enjoyed chatting with others, lighting up every conversation with his warmth and kindness. He truly valued connections and made everyone around him feel special. He was also an avid Alabama fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Otis and Eunice Rolin Lambert; sister, Joann Lambert; grandson, Asher Holland; nephews, Jeremy Raybon and JB Holland; mother-in-law, Helen Wolfe.
Mr. Lambert is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Pam Lambert of Poarch; son, Derrick (Mary) Holland of Bay Minette, Ala.; two daughters, Brittney (Rodney) Holland and Lacy (Hasheem) Bennett, all of Atmore, Ala.; three brothers, Wayne (Christy) Lambert of Grenada, Miss., Joey (Kesha) Lambert of Benton, La. and Earl Lambert of Atmore; two sisters, Marilynn(Alvin) Raybon of Atmore and Susan (Greg) McGhee of Uriah, Ala.; sister-in-law, Stephanie Holland; fathers-in-law, Glenn Wolfe and Johnny Holland; ten grandchildren, Noah Williams, Lexi Holland, Leland Holland, Drake Holland, Keland Holland, Zoey Holland, Eli Williams, Baby D Williams, Jr. Bennett and Peyton Bennett; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Noon at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC with Bro Walter Rolin officiating. Burial will follow at Judson Creek Indian Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 11 p.m. until service time at 12 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC.
