The Youth Leadership Atmore class is a close-knit group. During the year, participating in various activities, they’ve bonded. YMCA powerlifting competition upcoming
Local men, women and children will soon have a chance to show off their strength and physical abilities in order to help Atmore Area YMCA strengthen its physical structure. A powerlifting competition will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the YMCA’s 501 South Pensacola Avenue headquarters. Perdido School holds spelling bee
On Wednesday December 7, as the rounds kept rolling on, 23 students, fourth-through eighth-grade level homeroom spelling bee winners vied for the chance to represent Perdido School in the 2017 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Finally, in the championship ninth round, Stacie Wilson and Ceanna Livermore went back and forth until Ceanna correctly spelled “scrumptiously” and became the Perdido School Spelling Bee champion for 2017.
