Legion honors Norris
American Legion Post 90 honored Raymond Norris at the post’s meeting Tuesday, April 11, for his 60 years of membership. Norris, 98, was an Army Air Corps mechanic during World War II. The Board of Directors of Pride of Atmore announces the creation of the Yard of the Month award program to show their appreciation and to recognize those homeowners who demonstrate superior effort in maintaining their property, and who, as a result, positively contribute to the overall appearance of Atmore. Atmore Community Hospital Auxiliary is offering scholarships to individuals pursuing studies in a medical-related field. Students must be currently enrolled in a healthcare program and must have completed at least one year at an accredited school. Graduate students will also be considered. YMCA, USA hold soccer clinic

The Escambia Academy Track Team continues their winning ways with their latest competition. The team won the AISA (Alabama Independent School Association) State Track Championship the third time in a row.
