Unity Baptist holding homecoming, anniversary
The pastor and congregation at Unity Baptist Church invite all to Homecoming Sunday, October 1, at 10 a.m. This is also the church’s 32nd anniversary. Special guest speaker is Pastor Derek Farr from Roanoke, Ala. Pastor Derek is also a ventriloquist and has worked with his side-kick “Charlie” since 1996. There will be special music. Dinner on the grounds will follow the worship service.

Harris Street A.O.H. Church of God holding revival
Harris Street A.O.H. Church of God will be in revival Wednesday through Friday, September 20-22, 7 p.m., nightly. Bishop Gregory Canon, pastor of Rice Temple A.O.H. Church of God, Montgomery, is the guest evangelist. Harris Street A.O.H. Pastor Overseer Shawon Salter and First Lady Minister Nerissa Salter invite all to attend. The church is located at 124 Harris Street, Atmore.

Boyle speaks at SAIL Center

Pushing up for suicide awareness
22Up was held Tuesday, September 12, at the Atmore Area YMCA. The program, sponsored by the Atmore Memorial VFW Auxiliary to Post 7016 and the YMCA, required participants to do 22 pushups to promote awareness for veteran suicide prevention along with honoring military service members and veterans.
