Pioneer Day coming up in Grove Hill
Special to Atmore News The 20th annual Pioneer Day living history festival will be Saturday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum in Grove Hill. The LA Bikers Toyz for Kidz auction is always well attended, always fun and always profitable. PeeWee and Annie Powell and Jody Jeter organize the auction every year, but the profits don’t go to them. They use auction proceeds to buy Christmas gifts for area families. Ribs on Ridgeley
Ribs on Ridgeley was held Thursday, October 17, and as always was well attended. Bub Gideons with Pride of Atmore, the organization sponsoring the event, said about 175 attended on Ridgeley, while some chose to take to-go plates. Proceeds benefit POA’s downtown revitalization project.

Anniversary celebration
Lena Hardy, DPT, owner of Astound Physical Therapy, held a first year anniversary celebration Saturday, October 19. Guests enjoyed refreshments and fellowship, and youngsters enjoyed the bouncey house.
