The Pride of Atmore Committee selected Bob and Meg Jones’ yard on Kimberly Drive as the June Yard of the Month. Lilies and hydrangeas abound thanks to Meg’s green thumb. HES honored
Huxford Elementary School was recently selected by Escambia County’s farming family, Joe and Brenda Coker, as a 2017 America’s Farmers Grow Communities winning organization. The America’s Farmers campaign highlights the importance of modern US Agriculture through communications and community outreach programs that partner with farmers to impact Rural America. Flags on Memorial Day
On Saturday, May 27, several Royal Rangers from Liberty Baptist Church in Pineview helped the Atmore VFW Auxiliary place flags on veterans’ graves for Memorial Day. Students attend HOBY
Sophomore students from Atmore joined 280 other sophomore students from all over the state of Alabama during the Hugh O’Brian Youth leadership seminar at Troy University May 26-28.
