It was a typical dog day summer afternoon in Atmore – hot and humid. And while just about everybody was hot as blue blazes, the 14th Annual Taste of the South was packed with folks enjoying great food. WoodmenLife donates to Legion
WoodmenLife made two donations to American Legion Post 90 Wednesday, September 13. Bo Brantley, right, representing WoodmenLife delivered a check and a new American flag to Legion Commander Guy Milstead, center, and Legion Chaplain Jack Wright, left. The presentation was made at the Legion Memorial behind the Legion hall on South Main Street.
HES hosts heroes
Huxford Elementary School held Heroes Day Friday, September 15. All area first responders were invited for lunch and goodies. Escambia County Board of Education member Mike Edwards also attended.
