Leadership Atmore 2018 under way
The Leadership Atmore Class of 2018 kicked off with the opening retreat at Camp Beckwith September 26-27. The retreat is always one of the highlights of Leadership. Fun at the fall carnival
The Huxford Elementary School Fall Carnival is always well attended and a lot of fun. This year’s carnival was held Thursday afternoon, October 5. One of the highlights is the kiss the pig event, with the “kisser(s)” selected according to which classes raise the most money. Lassiter speaks at Lions Club
The Atmore Lions Club met on Wednesday, October 4. The speaker for the program was Hope Lassiter, Atmore Public Library director, who spoke on the Atmore Bicentennial Committee. English completes training
Atmore native SPC Courtney English, U.S. Army, has completed a course of training in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The graduation ceremony was held September 27 from The Charlie Company 2nd Battalion 10th Infantry Regiment. SPC English, AIT (Advance Individual Training) will be completed at Fort Lee, Virginia.
