Thank you

Congressman Jerry Carl

Last week, I was humbled to be re-elected to continue serving you for another two years in Congress. Although several races around the country did not turn out as many of us might have hoped, I’m thankful to have received such overwhelming support from voters across Alabama’s First Congressional District, and I look forward to continuing the fight for our values and ensuring your voice is heard in Washington, D.C.
I’ve now been in Congress nearly two years. Despite serving in the minority, I’ve been focused on the job you elected me to do. This means working tirelessly to restore common sense to Washington and push back on the Democrats’ harmful agenda, while also delivering real results for our district.
During my first term in Congress, I’ve voted for you hundreds of times, introduced 10 different bills, and cosponsored over 200 bills. My colleagues and I have been fighting back to address the issues that matter to you. This includes bills to defend the 2nd Amendment, support life, hold government bureaucrats accountable, protect the ancient underwater forest off our cost, improve the VA healthcare system, protect our monuments and statues, eliminate wasteful government programs, fix our broken immigration system, and stop the Biden administration’s war on American energy.
Although we have been blocked by the Democrats every step of the way, I am confident we will be able to make significant progress on these issues starting in January. My colleagues and I are excited to get to work on our Commitment to America, which is our plan to get this country back on track after two years of failed leadership by Democrats in Washington.
We first must ensure our economy is strong and is working for everyone. This means fighting inflation and lowering the cost of living so Americans don’t have to choose between putting gas in their car or food on their table. It also includes making America energy independent once again and lowering gas prices, while strengthening our supply chain and ending our dependence on China.
A strong economy is important, but we also have to ensure our nation is safe. Our wide-open borders are allowing fentanyl and other deadly drugs to pour into our communities, resulting in a rise in violent crime and drug overdoses. Let’s finish the wall, get tough on illegal immigration, and get serious about the drug epidemic plaguing our country.
Finally, we will fight for a future that’s free and a government that’s accountable. This means fighting back against government overreach and unconstitutional mandates, protecting our constitutional freedoms, restoring the people’s voice, and ensuring our elections are free and fair.
I’m excited about the plans we have put together, and I look forward to continue fighting on your behalf. Thank you again for the opportunity to represent you in Washington for another two years. It’s truly the honor of a lifetime.
