Due to a Covid outbreak in the cast, the Greater Escambia Council for the Art’s “Sound of Music” performances scheduled for August 26 through 29 were rescheduled for September 16 through 19.
GECA board president Sharon Poulsen said Monday, August 30, the production is still on for the September dates.
Tickets are sold through the GECA website, www.gecarts.org, and are not refundable. However, Poulsen said, due to the unusual circumstances, the refund policy has been changed since some people who bought tickets for a show in August may have scheduling conflicts for a show in September.
As of Monday, the only show that was sold out for the September shows was Saturday, September 18, however, Poulsen said she was aware some tickets were returned and the purchase price refunded since a group was coming from out of town and can’t come in September.
It’s possible tickets may be available at the door for that show and other shows – however, there’s no guarantee. The website will be changed to reflect which dates tickets are available.
