Atmore, AL – I’m excited to announce that I’m running for Atmore City Council, District 5, in the upcoming election on August 26, 2025. My slogan is simple: “Bringing Community to the Council.” I’m running because I believe in Atmore—our people, our history, and our future. As a lifelong resident of this town, it’s always been my goal to serve and contribute in whatever way I can.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to play a role in projects that help build a stronger, more connected community. For example, I’m the founder of the Pride of Atmore, a project aimed at restoring the historic Strand Theatre and the Encore building (formerly the old hardware store). This effort is close to my heart because it’s about preserving our past while investing in our future—a place where all of us can come together, share experiences, and continue to grow.
In addition to this, I’ve had the honor of being named Atmore’s Citizen of the Year in 2017, served as President of the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce in 2016, and most recently being recognized as Favorite Community Volunteer in 2024. I also served as 2023-2024 Council Chair of the State Lions Clubs of Alabama, working with communities all across our state.
But no matter the title or the project, it all boils down to one thing: service. Whether it’s supporting our small businesses, volunteering at local events, or working alongside neighbors to address community needs, I’ve always strived to put Atmore first.
I’m running for City Council because there’s still so much more we can do together. I’m not here to make promises I can’t keep, but I do promise to work hard, listen to your concerns, and lead with integrity and respect. With your support, we can continue building a stronger, smarter, and more united Atmore.
The election is on August 26, 2025, and I’d be honored to have your vote. Let’s continue to make Atmore the best place to live, work, and raise our families.
