Progressive Civic and Recreational Club members and guests held their 44th Annual Observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Sunday January 14, at Second Chance Faith Miracle Holiness Church, Pastor Apostle Mary America.
Bible Scripture for the program was Ezekiel 37:1 – “The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones.”
With PCRC Chaplain Fannie Rivers presiding, the program began with everyone singing “Life Every Voice and Sing.”
Apostle America presented the Scripture and prayer followed by the Welcome by Brunetta Lambert. PCRC Reporter Barbara Poole Harris brought the Occasion, and Isaiah America’s Reading for the program was from Dr. King’s speech, “I Have a Dream.”
PCRC President Calvin Stots introduced the speaker: Apostle America who spoke after a solo by Tabatha White-Thomas. Stots also presented the Expression followed by Apostle America’s Benediction.
Also participating in the program was Minister Jeremiah Bowen who played the organ and helped with the choir.
