Members and friends of St. Andrew’s Anglican Catholic Church held their first ever 4th of July celebration, last Tuesday.
“This is for kids and families,” the Rev. Fr. Keith Bernarducci said at the event. “It’s our Independence Day. There’s nothing political here. We’re simply celebrating that we live in a free country. The only issue someone may have is whether to put ketchup or mustard on their hot dog!”
There were games for everyone, and water games for the kids – good for cooling off until the afternoon rain came through.
Ian Stone, bagpiper with the Santa Rosa Pipes and Drums Corps, played several selections, including “America” and “Amazing Grace.”
Redemption Song performed a wide range of music including several oldies – much to the delight of some of the “older folks.”
