Seasoned musicians and those less seasoned took the stage Tuesday, April 25, for the Escambia County Middle School and Escambia County High School Spring Concert.
This concert marked the debut of the ECMS Junior Jazz Band which performed “After Dark” under the direction of Michael Williams, conductor.
The ECHS Blue Sound Jazz Band, under the direction of conductor Hayley Canterbury, performed “Deacon Blues” and Careless Whisper.”
Williams conducted the ECMS Advanced Band in “Dark Adventure,” “ Island Empire March,” “The Bare Necessities,” and “Dragonslayer.”
The ECHS Symphonic Band, under Canterbury’s direction, closed the evening with “Hyperdrive,” “Sunset Lullaby,” “Danse Ritmico,” “The Imperial March” (Darth Vader’s theme), and A Tribute to Whitney Houston.
