An Atmore woman is free on bond after her November 21 arrest on felony drug possession charges.
Atmore Police Department reports show that the arrest came after an officer conducted a traffic stop around 8:20 a.m. on a vehicle that was being driven along Alabama 21, near Martinville Loop, without a license plate.
The driver, 39-year-old Rachel Ward, was unable to produce identification and gave consent to a search of her vehicle.
The search turned up a glass pipe that contained a crystal-like residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, along with a small plastic baggy that also contained a crystal-like substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers also discovered a hydrocodone pill and about a gram of meth.
Ward was processed into the Escambia County Detention Center on one count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was released from the jail November 27 after a $10,000 bond was posted on her behalf.
