An Atmore woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred around 7:45 p.m., Sunday, November 20, on a rural Escambia County road.
Alabama State Troopers reported Monday night, November 21, that Tara R. Nelson, 46, was fatally injured when the 2015 Kia Cadenza she was driving left Booneville Road, struck a tree and overturned.
Nelson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers reported.
The fatal crash occurred approximately eight miles northwest of Atmore.
No further information was immediately available as troopers continued their investigation.
