An Atmore man who was the subject of several outstanding misdemeanor warrants here was arrested after a traffic stop during which it was discovered he was also wanted by Florida authorities.
The traffic stop, by an undisclosed “neighboring agency,” occurred November 15. That agency notified Atmore police that 19-year-old Tondrae Forney, who had several misdemeanor warrants from Atmore Municipal Court, was in custody.
It was later determined that Forney was also being sought by the Okaloosa County, Fla., Sheriff’s Office on a warrant charging probation violation.
He was processed into the Escambia County Detention Center, where he was still awaiting extradition Monday afternoon, November 21.
