Ronnie Carlton Jones Moody
Mr. Ronnie Carlton “Chuck” Jones Moody, age 67, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Friday, October 28, 2022. He was born to Willie Henry Moody and Ruthie Rene Boykin-Moody in Vinegar Bend, Ala. He spent most of his life in Walnut Hill.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; step-father, John D. Moorer; sister, Mary Louise Spencer and brother, James C. Johnson.
Mr. Moody is survived by two brothers, John Lee Moorer of San Bernadina, Calif. and Michael Moorer of Walnut Hill; three sisters, Janice Marie Moody of Milwaukee, Wisc., Sallie Moody and Wydella Moorer, both of Walnut Hill; aunt, Lula Moorer of Walnut Hill., along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Hose of Prayer with Pastor Danny Fountain and Elder Irma Redmond, officiating. Interment followed at New St. Paul Cemetery.
Pallbearers and flower bearers were family and friends.

Johnny Thomas Guyton
Mr. Johnny Thomas Guyton, age 77, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Sulligent, Ala. to John B. and Mary Strawbridge Guyton. Johnny was a fine Christian statesman and a member of Pace Assembly of God Church. He was a founding board member of Destiny Television Network and traveled across the country singing gospel music. He worked for many years with Strawbridge Machine Shop and later established Guyton Welding. He was also a devoted Funeral Assistant with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Mary W. Guyton; his brother, Danny Guyton; his sister, Paula Guyton and his grandmother, Alice Strawbridge.
He is survived by the love of his life for fifty-five years, Shirley Morrison Guyton; his daughters, Becky (Leslie) Cooper and Stephanie (Pete) DaCosta; his son, Dr. Johnny T. Guyton, Jr.; three amazing grandchildren, Rev. JonChristian Guyton, Mikaela Guyton and Sophia DaCosta and his siblings, Jack Guyton, Billy Guyton, Ed Guyton, Mary Ann Wright, Ricky Guyton, Ronnie Guyton, Marchall Guyton and Cathy Nelson; a close uncle, Ollie Strawbridge.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joey Rogers, Dr. J.T. Guyton, Jr. and Rev. JonChristian Guyton officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Frank Williams, Keith Strawbridge, Mike Strawbridge, John Morrison, Leslie Cooper and Pete DaCosta.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Strawbridge, Pastor Wayne Johnson and Wade White.

Robert David Green
Mr. Robert David Green, age 73, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was born to Douglas and Ruth Green in Pensacola, Fla. He was a graduate of Woodham High
School and Evangel University with a BA degree. After being employed as a P.E. teacher and basketball coach for seven years be began a career in insurance and bank consulting. He enjoyed traveling, golf, reading and cooking. His breakfasts and humor were famous in the Green family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Brooks and Beck.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Marcia Klopfenstein Green; three children, Mindee (Jason) Allen and Ryan (Adriane) Green, both of Ala., Nicole (Toby) Evans of Ill.; nine grandchildren; siblings, Joseph, Martha, Sharon, Dora, Damon and Michelle.
He always exemplified a life that loved God and family. He left a wonderful legacy to his family and friends. He touched many lives and leaves behind the fruits of a life lived for Christ.
Thomas Marvin Lord
Mr. Thomas Marvin Lord, age 57, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022, in Atmore, Ala. He was a lifelong resident of Atmore. He was an HVAC Technician and a pipefitter for many years. He loved tinkering, working, and mechanicing on cars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and lending a helping hand to anyone that he could.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward Lord; two brothers, Robert Earl Lord, James Edward Lord, and one sister, Sarah Regina Lord.
Mr. Lord is survived by his mother, Glenda Lord of Atmore; wife, Shanna Gayle Lord of Mobile, Ala.; three sons, Thomas Earl Lord of Milton, Fla., Tyler Lord and Titus Lord, both of Atmore; two daughters, Courtney Lord (James Michael) of LeCanto, Fla. and Sarah Lord of Mobile; two brothers, William Kirk (Dianne) Lord, of Rhode Island and Stephen (Jennifer) Lord of Foley, Ala.; three sisters, Yvonne (Doug) Bowen of Excel, Ala., Becky Elaine (Marlon) Nelson of Atmore and Shannon (Rodney) Brooks of Perdido, Ala.; three grandchildren, Brianna Lord, Peyton Lord, Savannah Michael; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Clair Elizabeth Wise McGill
Mrs. Clair Elizabeth Wise McGill, age 81, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 in Atmore. She was born in Atmore Odus and Thelma Elizabeth Hawke Wise. She received a Bachelor’s degree with Samford University and a Master’s degree with Troy University. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore and was a retired teacher with the Escambia County Alabama School System.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Odus and Elizabeth Wise; her sister, Nan Reia Norris and her brother-in-law, James Norris.
Mrs. McGill is survived by her husband of forty years, Terre McGill; her nieces, Tina Norris Brooks (Scott) of Atmore, René Norris Godwin (Lamar) of Oak Grove, Fla., Michele Norris of Auburn, Ala. and Lexie McGill Thorsen (Dennis) of Pensacola, Fla.; six nieces and nephews and eight great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, Ala.

Mr. Alfred Jernigan, age 61, of McDavid, Fla. passed away at his residence Friday, November 18, 2022. He was born in Century, Fla. to Clayton and Agnes “Kitty” McCawley Jernigan. He was a truck driver most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy Jernigan and Harold Jernigan.

Anna Ruth Vickery
Mrs. Anna Ruth Vickery, age 99, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at her home. She was born in McCullough, Ala. to William and Emma Wise, she had lived in Atmore since 1949. She was an active member of the Atmore First United Methodist Church where she sang in the chancel choir for fifty years, as well as serving in many leadership capacities. She volunteered in the Pink Lady Association, Meals on Wheels, Nursing Home and was awarded the Volunteer of the 2008 year, The Rotary Club awarded her “Service Above Self” award in 2003. She was a worker in the school system.
Ruth was a master gardener with a passion for flowers, particularly roses. She delighted in sharing their beauty and was lovingly called the “Rose Lady”. Her seamstress skills were exhibited when she created majorette and cheerleader uniforms, costumes for school plays, Easter frocks, prom dresses, and wedding attire for her girls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Vickery. She was the much loved mother of Mrs. Vickery is survived by Lou Vickery, Bill (Jean Ann) Vickery, Priscilla (Bill) Wilder, Rita (Earl) Miller, Sheryl Vickery, Dianna (Tom) Carlin; grandchildren, Lance (Kim) Vickery, Kevin (Bernard) Vickery, Anna (David) Carlin, Shannon (Scott) Goode, Erin Asbury, Ti (Sabrina) Wilder, Drew (Brandy) Miller, Wade Miller, Clay Miller, Anna (Matt) Glenzer and Emily Carlin; great grandchildren, Drew Vickery, Meg Carlin, Max Vickery, Rebekah Carlin, Katy Wilder, Braeden Asbury, Libby Miller, Jax Miller, Hunter Wilder, Landri Miller, Leighton Miller, Miles Miller, Draesen Asbury and Kai Miller.
A celebration of Anna Ruth’s life will be held at Atmore First United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 27, 2022 beginning at 2 p.m.

Franklin Delano “Runt” Bryan
Mr. Franklin Delano “Runt” Bryan, age 89, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 in Pensacola, Fla. He was born in McCullough, Ala. to Jack and Louisa Buck Bryan. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He also was the general manager with Allstate Beverage Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Miriam Bryan; his brother, Oscar Bryan; his step-son, Joey Davis and his step-daughter, Debby Jackson.
Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife, Olivia Wiggins Bryan of Atmore; his sons, Keith (Stephanie) Bryan and Kelly Bryan; his daughter, Karen (Holly) Lundy; his siblings, Virginia Newman and Wendell Bryan, all of N.C., Winston Bryan of Atmore and Nell Covington of Uriah, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Keisha Lee, Brannon Sanspree, Niki Becton, Carlee Lundy, Randon Watson, Cord Cook and Sharley Cook along with many wonderful great-grandchildren.

Henry O’Neal McKinley
Mr. Henry O’Neal McKinley, age 78, of Canoe, Ala., passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 in Bay Minette, Ala. He was born in Robinsonville, Ala. to Fred McKinley, Sr. and Aggie Taylor McKinley. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, and qualified as an expert marksmen two times. He was the owner/operator of his own tractor-trailer for many years and leased to Genie Trucking Line. He also was a master carpenter. Henry was a member of First Baptist Church of Canoe and an avid reader. He loved gardening especially, growing and giving away satsumas. Henry also enjoyed going to Eureka Landing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of fifty-six years, Helen J. McKinley and his infant sister.
Mr. McKinley is survived by his son, Kevin (Sondra) McKinley of Canoe; his brother, Fred (Voncile) McKinley, Jr. of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; his sister, Estelle McKinley Hinote of Bay Minette; his grandchildren, Jackson Reed, Autumn (Josh) Day and Abby Reed along with several nieces and nephews.

Charles Edwards Williams
Mr. Charles Edwards Williams, age 71, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, November 11, 2022. He was born to Jimmy Tolbert Sr. and Ella Bell Tolbert. He worked as a tree logger with Kimberly-Clarke for eighteen years until retirement. He was known by the nicknames of Babe Rudy” He enjoyed racing cars and was a very skilled mechanic. He loved hanging out with his boys under the “Sunset Tree”, and cracking jokes. He loved ALL children.
He was preceded in death by his father; his grandfather and grandmother, Vander and Susie Williams; his sister, Mary Shoemaker and brother, James McCall.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Williams; his mother, Ella Bell Tolbert-Daniels (James); his children, Debra Frye, LaSonja Williams (Stacey), LaShavies Williams (Jaimie), LaToria Frye (Tim), Travis Brown (LaTisha), Darrius Frye, Tanae Hollinger, all of Atmore, Demetrus Frye of Birmingham, Ala. and Charles R.
