Fugitive Fla. murder suspect ID’d

Atmore police have identified the Florida murder suspect who was arrested here October 18 while officers were investigating a reported domestic incident.
City police responded around 5:40 a.m. to a residence in the 100 block of Marshall Avenue, from where the complaint originated.
They contacted the victim, who had scratches on her neck and arms. The woman told police her boyfriend, Jason Coleman, 38, of Pensacola, struck her and grabbed her by her neck.
Coleman was taken into custody after APD officers discovered he was wanted for murder by the Escambia County, Fla. Sheriff’s Office.
He was booked into the Escambia County Detention Center, where he was still awaiting extradition to Florida late Friday, October 21.
The Pensacola man was charged locally with one count each of being a fugitive from justice and third-degree domestic violence.
