PCI incumbents hold seats

Three incumbents held their seats in the June 4 Poarch Tribal Council election.
For the secretary position, incumbent Charlotte McGhee Meckel won 776 to 375 over her challenger Nioma Jackson Till.
Incumbent Amy Bryan Gantt retained her treasurer position with 611 votes. Challengers Chance Jackson had 197 votes, and Denise Young had 359 votes.
Dewitt Carter, who holds the at large seat, faced four challengers. He received 522 votes. Challengers were as follows: Keith Wayne Colbert, 69 votes; Carla McGhee Hammonds, 400 votes; Douglas “Poncho” Kelley, 28 votes; and Steven Ledkins, 125 votes.
A total of 1,175 General Council Members voted.
