Friends of an Atmore family, of which four members were injured in a violent January car crash that claimed the life of a Flomaton man, are raising money to help the family make a dent in the ongoing medical bills and other expenses related to the wreck.
Brian Grant and his three daughters — Ali, Emma Kate and Gracelynn — were all injured in the crash, which occurred on U.S. 31 near Wawbeek. Brian’s wife, Jodie, and their son, Bryson, were not in the 2003 Toyota pickup that Brian was driving.
Organizers of the fundraiser are raffling off a Remington 870 12-gauge shotgun and conducting an April 9 yard sale.
Raffle tickets are $15 apiece. The winner will be drawn at the yard sale, for which “multiple trailer-loads of stuff” have been donated.
The yard sale will be held at Nadine McCall Park in Century, Fla. It will start at 8 a.m. and continue “until.” All proceeds from the yard sale and raffle will go to the Grant family.
