Connie Barbarow

Mr. Connie Barbarow, age 89, of Perdido, Ala., passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 in
Fairhope, Ala. He was born to the late Jesse F. and Bessie Bell Barbarow. He served in the
United States Navy and worked and retired from the Pensacola Naval Air Station, Whiting Field.
He loved to fish and plant a large garden each spring and was especially known for his
watermelons. He loved to watch things grow and loved to raise cows.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; his wife of fifty-nine years, Betty Byrd
Barbarow; two brothers, Seldon Ted Barbarow of Montgomery, Ala. and Benny Floyd Barbarow
of Perdido.

Mr. Barbarow is survived by his daughters, Ellen (Darwin) Earls of Bay Minette, Ala. and Rose
Mosley of Perdido; his grandchildren, Brandon (Megan) Earls of Bay Minette, Breanna Earls of
Daphne, Ala., Brooke Earls of Auburn, Ala., Brian (Sarah) Earls of Summerdale, Ala. and
numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 2 p.m.at Johnson-Quimby Funeral
Home Chapel with Bro. Randall Short officiating. Interment will follow in Perdido Baptist
Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2
p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Donna J. Ferguson

Ferguson


Mrs. Donna J. Ferguson, age 87, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 in
Atmore. She was born in Cantrall, Ill. to the late Harold Garmers and Harriet Brittin Garmers.
She was a retired License Practical Nurse; retired Atmore Community Hospital Pink lady; a
volunteer for the Widowed Person Service Group an enthusiastic member of Silver Sneakers.
She was a member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Ferguson; two brothers, Robert Garmers
and Johnny Garmers, and her granddaughter, Jennifer Ferguson.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her children, Lisa Ferguson, Charles D. (Jamie) Ferguson, Gary
(Sandy) Ferguson, Timothy (Sue) Ferguson and Christopher (Claudia) Ferguson; one brother
Tom (Sandy) Garmers; one sister, Janet Garmers (Fred) Schmulbach and many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held January 8, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Brooks Memorial Baptist Church
with Rev. Tim Tew officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Joe Hall Cemetery in Athens,
Ill.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Brooks Memorial Baptist Church in honor of Mrs.
Ferguson.

Bobbie Kimberly Bonner McCurdy

Bobbie Kimberly Bonner McCurdy, age 69, of Hattiesburg, Miss., passed away Friday,
December 10, 2021. She was born in Natchez, Miss. to Raymond and Lois Bonner.

She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with family and camping.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ms. McCurdy is survived by her three children, James (Susan) McCurdy of Century, Fla.,
Muranda (Federic) Moore of Flomaton, Ala. and Aletha Mattison of Purvis, Miss.; three brothers, Raymond (JoAnn) Bonner of Elberta, Ala., Michael (Lou) Bonner of Hattiesburg and Joseph (Debbie) Bonner of Spanish Fort, Ala.; nine grandchildren, Misty Madewell, Mary Madewell, Blaze Harkness, Kuper (Sammie) Harkness, Chance McCurdy, Cheyanne Garnett, Kaylyn Garnett, Jasmine Mattison, and Lillian (Lily) Mattison and eight great-grandchildren, and
many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Bratt Baptist Church in Bratt, Fla.
at 2 p.m. Open to all friends and family.

James (Buffus) Robinson

Mr. James (Buffus) Robinson, age 93, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, December 17, 2021
at Atmore Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 with viewing at 10 a.m. until Noon.
Christian Memorial Funeral Home in charge of all direction.


Charlotte Giddins

Mrs. Charlotte Giddins, age 71, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 in McDavid, Fla. She
retired from International Paper Company, with many years of employment. She loved going to
the “Beach”. She loved to fish, teaching children at school, and cooking. She loved attending
baseball games and all the grandchildren sports. She loved going to the “Beach”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W H Burkett and Ethel (Entrekin) McElvoy and one
brother, Michael Burkett Mrs. Giddens is survived by her loving husband of fifty-three years, Edward Giddins of Christian Home; one son, Chad Giddins, of Christian Home; one daughter, Carmen (Stephen) Gindl, of
Barrineau Park, Fla.; one brother, Randy (Denice) Burkett, of Christian Home; nine grandchildren, Caleb, Lacie, Adam, Brayden, CJ, Bella, Blaise, Conner, Cameron; one great grandchild, Jace, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Bro. Josh Long officiating. Burial will follow at Christian Home Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Gindl, Adam Gindl, Brett Johnson, Tony Hall, Justin Burkett, and
Derek Giddins.
