“Battle of the Badges,” the community’s first charity basketball contest pitting city police against city firemen, will take place next Tuesday, December 14, at Atmore Christian School.
The event, billed as a “rivalry for the cause,” will raise funds to help with the annual “Christmas in Candyland” event, set for Saturday, December 18.
Admission is $5 per person, and tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the local parochial school, which is located off U.S. 31 South (West Nashville Avenue), just past Rockaway Creek Road, at 245 Tenant Drive.
