The portion of U.S. 31 between Ammons and James roads was closed for a while Saturday (September 25) after a heavy-duty pickup, hauling a trailer, caught fire shortly after 11 a.m. Perdido firefighters, shown here battling the blaze, prevented the fire from spreading to the trailer.
