Edro D. Hall

Mrs. Edro D. Hall, age 85, of Nokomis, Ala., passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in Atmore, Ala. She was born in Mineola, Ala. to the late Perlie Edward and Leona Jeter Daniel. She drove a school bus before working at First National Bank of Atmore as a Bank Teller where she retired with over twenty-two years of service.  She was a lifelong member of Nokomis Baptist Church serving as the church pianist and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was known for her desserts and her famous chicken pot pie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Ray Hall; one sister, Geraldine Williams and one brother, Joe Edward Daniel.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her son, Terry Ray Hall and daughter Martha Hall, both of Nokomis; two sisters, Fredna Stewart of Spanish Fort, Ala. and Jackie Presley of Nokomis; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews and many family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Nokomis Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Brian Stewart, Damon Stewart, Roger Keith Stewart, Mark Presley, Ricky Fore, Frank Hyman Williams, Chris Wallace, and Darrell Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Presley, Hilton Hall, Wilton Shambo, Don Smith, Christopher Corbitt and Daryl Williams.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 1, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. from the Nokomis Baptist Church.

Alberta Hall Campbell

Mrs. Alberta Hall Campbell, age 84, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 in Pensacola, Fla. She was a life-long resident of Bratt, Fla. She retired with the City of Century with twenty-eight years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Campbell; parents, Houston and Vivian Roberts; step-father, Pringle May; three brothers, Ray Roberts, Charles May, and J.C. May; two sisters, Betty Calahan and Luverne Firth.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by two sons, Wildon (Elaine) Hall Jr. of Grand Bay, Ala.; David Hall of Dawsonville, Ga.; daughter, Donna (Eric) McCall of Bratt, Fla.; sister, Ruby (J.A.) Wells of Mobile, Ala.; one grandchild Erin (Jeremi) Pritchett and two great-grandchildren, Jase and Tucker Pritchett.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. James Sage officiating. Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John McCall, Mike McCall, Jimmy McElhaney, Jerry McElhaney, Glenn Faircloth, and Darrell Holly.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Boone, David Johnson, and Willie Peebles.

Frances Wilson Morgan DuBose

Mrs. Frances Wilson Morgan DuBose, age 90, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 in Atmore. She was born to the late Jackson Leroy and Estelle Jones Wilson in Lottie, Ala. She was a member of Presley Street Baptist Church and was a retired bookkeeper from Frank Currie Gin with over thirty years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Eugene “Son” Morgan; a brother James Ray Wilson; sisters-in-law Cathy Wilson, Jean Wilson and great-grandson, Coby Smith.

Mrs. DuBose is survived by two children, David (Cindy) Morgan of Megargel, Ala. and Debbie (Johnny) Smith of Atmore; three brothers, Charles Wilson of Atmore, Norman (Francine) Wilson and Danny (Cynthia) Wilson, all of Nokomis, Ala.; grandchildren, Levi (Codi) Smith, Lesli (Jeremy) Flowers, Marty (Naomi) Smith, Tommy (Kim) Smith, Josh (Lisa) Morgan, Kayla Morgan; twenty-two great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joseph Simpson and Bro. Dave Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 4, 2019 from 6 until 8 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Richard Rendell “Rick” Dailey 

Dailey

Mr. Richard Rendell “Rick” Dailey, age 44, of Atmore, Ala. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Atmore Community Hospital. He was a native of Atmore and a 1995 graduate of Escambia County High School. He had worked in construction with Turner Construction Co. He enjoyed race cars and watching wrestling. He had joined Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church in his early years under Bishop Willie L. Williams. He was an Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

Mr. Dailey is survived by one son, LaDarius “Dale” Payne of Atmore; his mother, Margaret Dailey of Atmore; his father, Freddie Lee Brown of Atmore; one sister, Lisa Willis of Atmore; four brothers, Joshua Willis of Minn., Jovan Brown and Frederick Brown, both of Atmore and Frederick Rue of Ohio and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center- Atmore with Bishop Darryl North, Host Pastor and Bishop Willie L. Williams, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 8 from 2 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home. His body will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Rickey Rydell “Boobie” Lyons, III

Master Rickey Rydell “Boobie” Lyons, III, age 3, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 in Atmore. His family described him as a very happy baby, an awesome kid and a so amazing young man. As he played and enjoyed the joys of being a boy, he found excitement in the PAW Patrol, Superman, and Ninja Turtles.  He attended Lil Angels Development Center.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Krishandra Lyons; his paternal great-grandmother, Josie Mae Lyons; paternal great-grandfather, Elijah (Johnny) Lyons and other family member

Rickey is survived by his mother, Cadena L. Curtis of Atmore; his father, Rickey R. Lyons of Atmore; two sisters, Jazareia of Atmore and London of Flomaton; four brothers, Malachi, Chad, Kadenx, and Aubrey all of Atmore; grandmother, Carmen Wooden of Racine, Wis.; grandfather and grandmother, Rickey (Tammy) Lyons, I of Brewton, AL; great-grandparents, Ulysses and Manerva Wooden, Mildred Hill and Willie Curtis all of Racine; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Hawthorne, Host Pastor and Rev. Amos Barnes, Jr., Pastor of St. John Baptist Church, Spanish Fort, Ala., Eulogist. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 8, 2019 from 2 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home. His body will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Ursha Dirden

Ursha Dirden, age 44, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 at her home.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by Christian Memorial Funeral Home.
