Ava Penner, eighth grader at Escambia County Middle School, submitted a logo for the upcoming Alabama Association for Gifted Child (AAGC) Conference to be held in Birmingham in mid-October.
Ava’s logo was chosen out of the hundreds of submissions received. Her logo will now be printed on conference t-shirts, pens, pencils, bags, and notepads.
“We are so proud to have one of our student’s logo printed on all conference materials,” Escambia County Gifted Specialist Lisa Hurley said.
Along with the honor of having her logo printed on conference materials, Ava will receive a $100 award.
