Blair promoted

Bill Blair, formerly a captain with the Escambia County (Ala) Sheriff’s Office, was recently promoted to the rank of major.
Maj. Blair is a 43-year veteran law enforcement officer and is a retired Special Agent for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
He has served as a lieutenant and captain with ECSO and was assistant to the sheriff during the transition from the administration of outgoing Sheriff Grover Smith and incoming Sheriff Heath Jackson.
