Unity in the Community is Saturday

News Staff Report

The annual Unity in the Community Festival will be held this Saturday, July 27.
While the festival is a time for fun, it’s also a time for families to get important information and school supplies and uniforms.
Organizer Ruth Robinson said about 25 community resource booths will be on hand with information to aid families.
Adults wishing to receive free uniforms and supplies for their children must arrive no later than 1 p.m. and must visit at least 15 booths.
Unity promises something for everyone – kids’ carnival, lunch, snacks (sno cones, cotton candy and popcorn), and much more.
Award-winning illusionist Joseph Young will entertain. Young is an internationally acclaimed entertainer from Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He has shared his talents throughout the United States since 1996, performing more than 120 shows annually.
Unity in the Community continues to grow each year with as many as a thousand attending.
The event will be held at Grace Fellowship on Highway 31, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Unity in the Community is sponsored by Concerned Citizens of Atmore and Grace Fellowship.
